Entropix has created an exciting new technology (called NADA™) for the capture, recovery and purification of nucleic acids. NADA™ is rapid, efficient and solvent-free and delivers higher yields and purity for both DNA and RNA when compared to leading commercial kits. The company has filed a patent application covering the NADA™ technology which has numerous applications in diagnostics, forensics, pharmaceuticals and molecular biology.
Professor David Hornby, CSO and co-founder of Entropix said:
“The NADA™ technology is groundbreaking – it has the potential to become an industry standard for the purification of DNA and RNA as well as the depletion of nucleic acids where they could be a contaminant – for example in the production of recombinant proteins. NADA™ is so quick and effective it’s possible to purify DNA samples in minutes. Also, we’ve shown in our own testing that the nucleic acids retain their biological activity after capture by NADA™ and recovery by our ALGO™ process.”
